Qualifications
Five years in working within Sales Operations, Enablement or Business Development
Proven knowledge of Sales or Proposal Management routines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to tell the Alight Story
Strong project management experience
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels of management within the company
Strategic thinker and problem-solving skills
Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities
The Proposal Manager will provide Integrated, Coordinated and Consistent Leadership on every pursuit:The Proposal Manager will lead the sales process through to closing
The Sales Process Quarterback!
Define, build, and maintain best practices
Share knowledge and train colleagues to support opportunities thru the sales lifecycle
Lead project management across key sales pursuits
Take end-to-end ownership and command of the proposal process, including implementation of new strategies and best practices
Manage the full life cycle of the proposal response process from analysis of RFPs to final production and submission of proposals
Creative writing and storytelling skills
Meet proposal deadlines by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval
Manage multiple proposal tasks with sometimes rapid turnaround deadlines
Lead with Alight’s value engineering goals to help develop strategy and current objectives of the client and weave these messages into proposal
Collaborate with Sales Executives, management teams, functional units, AGS, Negotiations and Contracts, legal, and subject matter experts to provide proposal leadership, support, and overall direction
Educate the sales team and advocate best practices to drive accountability across the sales teams
Sales Strategy
Develop, mentor, and lead staff to foster an environment of teamwork and accountability
Create, communicate, and integrate client objectives/win themes throughout our proposal
Coordinate Designers support for tagline/branding support if necessary
Coordinate overall strategy of our solution
Review proposal team member submittals for content and accuracy to ensure compliance to RFP requirements and will work with team members as necessary
Provide oversight and final approval of our proposal response providing feedback for continuous improvement
Direct the proposal process by outlining/structuring proposal strategy and direction from proposal receipt to submission through BAFO
Ensure quality proposal response delivery (accurate, complete, compliant, on-time, fully meeting customer and proposal requirements)
Ensure timely submission of new or refreshed content into RFP Database, Loopio
