Sheetz is offering gas for July 4, 2023 for $1.77.
If you drive past Sheetz in Christiansburg on a Tuesday afternoon, you'll see a line of cars on the street.
People filled their cars and other containers to take advantage of the lowest gas prices in months.
Customers said it was an opportunity they didn't want to miss.
"People who love gas. Cheap, grab it while you can," said customer Freddie Smith.
Others saw business tactics behind the discount, but still took advantage of the low price.
"Smart move. You're going to get a lot of people, especially with the freeway here. You'll get your money back if you drop the original price," said Evan Mathis, another customer.
The promotion is set to run all day, or until some locations run out of fuel.
